USTA becomes the first national governing body to partner with White House Sports and Nutrition Committee

In Miami, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) announced their partnership with the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition (PCSFN), making it the first national sports governing body to do so. This collaboration was unveiled during an event attended by guests from the White House, including second gentleman Douglas Emhoff. The PCSFN, established in 1956, is a federal advisory committee focused on promoting nutrition and physical activity.

Through this partnership, the USTA and PCSFN aim to bring national health and nutrition programs to communities where tennis is played. Emhoff emphasized the impact of this collaboration on real lives, recognizing the USTA’s dedication to this important work. He expressed gratitude to the USTA for their efforts and highlighted the administration’s commitment to addressing issues like hunger and promoting healthy communities.

By working together, the USTA and PCSFN hope to make a significant difference in improving health and wellness across the country. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing nutrition, physical activity, and overall well-being in communities where sports like tennis are enjoyed. With the support of organizations like the USTA and the dedication of leaders like those in the Biden-Harris Administration, progress can continue to be made in promoting healthier lifestyles for Americans.
