MEDINA — Small Business Saturday, an initiative launched by American Express in 2010 to support small businesses and communities across the country, will be held in Medina on November 25. This event is a part of a larger “Shop Small Movement” that aims to help local businesses draw in more customers during the holiday shopping season.
In Medina, the celebration will take place starting at 11 am at the Huntington Bank lobby located at 39 Public Square. There will be a table set up with “Shop Small” handouts and information about Medina’s small business community. Santa Claus will also visit Wichert Insurance, located at 119 N. Court St., from noon to 2 pm.
According to a recent press release from Main Street Medina, over 90% of the storefronts in the business district of Medina are filled with local, independent retail shops, boutiques, restaurants and pubs, and a wide range of services.
