MAGNA-TILES Studio at Museum of Discovery and Science: A Space for Imagination, Learning, and Fun

The Museum of Discovery and Science in downtown Fort Lauderdale recently opened a first-of-its-kind immersive space called the MAGNA-TILES Studio. This new addition to the museum allows children to explore, create, and let their imaginations run wild while combining play with learning. The museum hosted a special ribbon-cutting ceremony for the studio, highlighting its limitless possibilities for young visitors.

Joe Cox, the museum’s president and CEO, expressed his excitement about the MAGNA-TILES Studio. He mentioned that children can use the MAGNA-TILES to create space engines, submarines for unicorns, and have an amazing learning experience about magnetism, light, and color. The workshop features five creation stations filled with magnet-building activities aimed at enhancing children’s skills and understanding of art, science, technology, engineering, and math.

The MAGNA-TILES Studio offers a full STEAM experience for children to engage in hands-on learning activities. This new space at the museum provides a unique opportunity for kids to learn through play and exploration. It is designed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a fun and interactive environment. With the opening of the MAGNA-TILES Studio, the Museum of Discovery and Science continues to provide innovative educational experiences for children in the Fort Lauderdale area.

Children can now come to this space and let their creativity soar as they build with magnets using different shapes and sizes available at each station. They will also have an amazing time exploring science concepts such as magnetism through various experiments that are sure to be engaging.

The MAGNA-TILES Studio is an addition to other exhibits at the Museum of Discovery and Science that cater specifically towards kids. It is perfect for families looking for fun ways to spend their weekend or even during school holidays.

Overall, this new immersive space at the museum is an excellent way for kids to learn while having fun. It’s a must-visit destination for anyone interested in science education or simply looking for some hands-on activities with their little ones!
