The sci-fi horror film 11817, directed and produced by Louis Leterrier of Fast X, is being presented to buyers at Cannes by Rocket Science. The movie follows a family of four who find themselves inexplicably trapped inside their house indefinitely. With resources dwindling and life-or-death situations looming, the family must become resourceful to outsmart the force keeping them captive.
The production team for 11817 includes producers from Carrousel Studios, Rocket Science, Thank You Studios, Chernin Entertainment (A North Road Company), and 3 Arts Entertainment. Casting is currently underway for the film, which will be produced entirely by Leterrier’s Carrousel Studios and financed by Rocket Science with CAA Media Finance representing domestic rights.
Leterrier expressed his excitement about the unique concept of 11817 and the family-centered plot. He aims to create an unforgettable experience for movie audiences by portraying characters they can relate to and support throughout their journey. Leterrier’s work in films like Fast X, Now You See Me, and The Incredible Hulk has been highly praised for its big-budget action sequences.
In addition to his work in films, Leterrier has also produced successful TV shows like Netflix’s Lupin and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. His upcoming projects include the final film in the Fast & Furious franchise, which is currently in development. Rocket Science’s Cannes slate for this year includes other highly anticipated films like Ali Abbasi’s The Apprentice and Cliffhanger.
Leterrier is represented by CAA, Entertainment 360/LBI, Sloan Offer Weber & Dern, and UBBA in France while Matthew Robinson is represented by CAA, 3 Arts, and Ziffren Brittenham.
