In June 2018, Kathryn Correia became the CEO of Legacy Health. She was succeeded by Dr. George Brown, who had previously held the position from 2008 to 2018, according to a statement from Legacy. Anna Loomis, the hospital system’s chief financial officer, is also stepping down from her role. Charles Wilhoite, chair of Legacy’s board of directors, praised Loomis’ critical role in steering the organization towards financial strength despite economic challenges.
Correia has announced that she is retiring for health reasons after an injury sustained in a fall last November. She explained that the accumulated stress of four years had impacted her resiliency and led to a longer recovery period than expected. This realization prompted her decision to retire and focus on her well-being. Correia will continue in an advisory role until June, Legacy announced.
