Lakers come back from 19-point 4th-quarter hole, defeat Bucks in thrilling double-overtime victory without LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers secured a thrilling double-overtime victory against the Milwaukee Bucks, even without the help of LeBron James. Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves played crucial roles in leading the team to a 128-124 win, coming back from a 19-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

This win marks the Lakers’ sixth victory in 10 games without James this season. Davis had a standout performance with 34 points, 23 rebounds, four blocks, two steals, and two assists in a career-high 52 minutes of play. Reaves recorded a triple-double with 29 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. D’Angelo Russell also contributed significantly with 29 points and 12 assists.

The Lakers’ trio of Davis, Reaves, and Russell were instrumental in mounting a comeback in the fourth quarter, where the Bucks had a commanding lead. Despite some missed opportunities by the Bucks, including Giannis Antetokounmpo’s struggles at the free-throw line, the Lakers were able to capitalize in the second overtime.

Both Lillard and Antetokounmpo had off-nights, with Lillard scoring 27 points on 9-of-29 shooting and Antetokounmpo struggling from the free-throw line. This victory against the Bucks is not the first time the Lakers have surprised their opponents without James
