Vietnam and Korea team up to enhance startup ecosystem

The collaboration between Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology and the Korean Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups (MSS) is aimed at enhancing cooperation in developing the startup ecosystem. Under a memorandum of understanding, the two ministries will collaborate on exchanging information, organizing seminars and conferences, conducting joint research, and providing human resource training.

The Ministries will facilitate training and guidance for young staff on technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation. They will exchange information on research materials, publications, teaching materials, and reference materials related to technology and innovation. The two Ministries will promote K-Tech for human resource exchange and training, exchange entrepreneurs, researchers, and experts, and organize events on technology and innovation.

Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat emphasized that the memorandum of understanding is an important step to enhance cooperation and exchange human resources between Korea and Vietnam. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck Soo.

This collaboration follows previous initiatives within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Korea. The two countries have been working together to promote the startup ecosystem and exchange human resources through various activities. The agencies involved have signed agreements with Korean counterparts and have embarked on initiatives to support innovation
