Texas-primarily based furnishings retailer Louis Shanks is closing its doors right after practically 80 years in enterprise. The corporation announced on Tuesday that it will be shutting down its two remaining retailers positioned in San Antonio and Austin, following a liquidation sale. Louis Shanks Furnishings was founded by Louis Shanks in Austin and has been in the household for 4 generations. Shanks initially opened a shop with companion John Stanford in downtown Austin in the 1940s.
