JMU Football Loses Several Key Departures from Spring Porta

JMU Football is closely monitoring its spring portal activity to track transfers and player movements. While no new additions have been made as of yet, several key departures have occurred from the team.

Tyrique Tucker, a defensive tackle who played in all 13 games in 2023 and was projected as a starter in 2024, has left the program with three years of eligibility remaining. Sammy Malignaggi, a backup running back and kick returner, also departed despite limited playing time last season due to transfer additions at the position. Solomon Vanhorse, a versatile player at returner and running back, also left the team behind Ayo Adeyi and George Pettaway on the depth chart.

Collin Carroll, a tight end who redshirted in 2023, is leaving the program in search of more playing time. Wesley Bostic, an offensive lineman with three years of eligibility left, has also entered the transfer portal as a reserve lineman not projected to see significant playing time in 2024.
