Jets reach out to Corey Davis for possible reunion

Corey Davis was recently released by the Jets on March 14 after applying for reinstatement to the NFL. However, there is a chance that the wide receiver could end up rejoining Gang Green. According to Coach Robert Saleh, the Jets are in regular communication with Davis and have left the door open for him to return. Reporter Connor Hughes has also indicated that the Jets are interested in bringing Davis back to the team.

If Davis does return, he would provide a significant boost to the Jets’ wide receiving group, which already includes Garrett Wilson and newly-signed Mike Williams. Last August, Davis took a break from football but was reinstated earlier this month, allowing him to make a comeback to the NFL. Prior to joining the Jets in 2021, he spent four years with the Tennessee Titans.

During his time with the Jets, Davis showed promise as a valuable asset to their offense. In his first two seasons with Gang Green, he recorded 66 receptions for 1,028 yards and six touchdowns. If he ends up re-signing with the Jets, it could create a dynamic wide receiving corps that opposing teams will have to contend with.
