In April 2023 while filming Netflix’s “Back in Action” in Atlanta, he was hospitalized for a health crisis. He shared on TikTok that he had a bad headache on April 11, which led to him being hospitalized for 20 days.
During the video, Foxx revealed that he doesn’t remember anything from his hospitalization and explained that his sister and daughter took him to a doctor who gave him a cortisone shot. Another doctor mentioned something was going on in his head, but Foxx didn’t disclose any details. Foxx has always been private about his personal life and kept his health crisis guarded when sharing information with the public.
In July 2023, Foxx explained why he didn’t disclose more information about his health crisis. He wanted to be seen as himself again – full of laughter and joy – rather than with tubes running out of him. He shared another health update in August 2023 expressing gratitude for the support and well wishes he received during his recovery.
