The women’s teams at the World Senior Championships have reached the semi-final stage, after a five-day round-robin tournament. In the quarter-finals, Switzerland narrowly won against Sweden with a score of 8-7, while Lithuania made their first ever semi-final appearance by beating England with an impressive 11-1 victory. Canada defeated Latvia by 12 runs in six ends and Scotland secured their spot in the semi-finals after beating Japan by 5-4.
On the other hand, the men’s competition has set its quarter-final lineup. Sweden, who emerged victorious in their group without any losses, will be facing Czechia in Friday afternoon’s session. Canada, who also remained undefeated throughout the round robin matches, will go up against Norway in their quarter-final match. In the other half of the draw, Switzerland, with a perfect record so far, will compete against United States and Scotland will face Germany team that has yet to taste defeat in this competition.
