Instagram has recently announced new features that allow users to have greater control over the content they see on the platform. One of these features is the hidden words option, which enables users to filter out unwanted content in their feed, search section, and other profiles. In addition to this, the company is also working on implementing features like publication archiving to improve the overall user experience.
Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, has shared details about these new features in a recent announcement. The hidden words function allows users to personalize their feed by hiding specific content, including in the Search section, other user profiles, and responses to posts. Users can now enter words, phrases, and emoticons in the ‘Manage custom words and phrases’ tab to further customize their content preferences.
Furthermore, Instagram is currently testing new features that give users more control over notifications and connections to posts. These include the ability to silence notifications and connections as well as controlling mentions. In the near future, users will be able to choose who mentions them and have the ability to opt-out of being mentioned in posts where they do not wish to appear.
Overall, these new features aim to give users more control over their experience on the platform and provide a more personalized experience for its users.
