Induction of Zetterberg, Miller, and Emrick into Michigan Sports Hall of Fame

On Thursday, Henrik Zetterberg, Ryan Miller, Mike “Doc” Emrick, and Colleen Howe had been inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame as component of the Class of 2023.

Zetterberg, a forward, had an impressive NHL profession with the Detroit Red Wings, playing for 15 seasons. He helped the Red Wings win the Stanley Cup in 2008 and accumulated 960 points in his 1,082 normal-season games. In the playoffs, he contributed 120 points in 137 games. Zetterberg was also a seventh-round choose for the Red Wings in the 1999 NHL Draft and served as their captain from 2012 to his retirement in 2018.

Miller, who was born in East Lansing, Michigan, holds the record for the most wins by a United States-born goalie in NHL history. More than his 18-season profession, he played for the Buffalo Sabres, St. Louis Blues, Vancouver Canucks, and Anaheim Ducks.
