Mary Jo Eckenrode, a 64-year-old resident of Niles, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, November 17th, 2023. Born in Warren on March 24th, 1959, Mary Jo was the daughter of James W. and Rosalie Nacco McGinnis. She spent her early years in Warren before moving to Niles and working at Trumbull Regional Medical Center.
Mary Jo’s survivors include her husband Thomas Eckenrode, their daughter Sarah Winston of Austintown, her mother Rosalie McGinnis of Niles, one grandson and three sisters: Carolyn S. McGinnis of McDonald, Carla J. Scites of Niles and Lois Welsh of Edgewater, Maryland. She was predeceased by her father; a son Matthew Winston; an infant daughter; stepson Thomas Eckenrode II; and one brother.
The family would like to invite friends and loved ones to celebrate Mary Jo’s life during calling hours from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home and Cremation Services located in Niles.
