Hungarian National Championships Mark Milak’s Return to Competition

The 2024 Hungarian National Championships are set to take place from April 9th to April 12th, and one of the most anticipated competitors is world record holder Kristof Milak. The 24-year-old swimmer has been out of the pool since last year’s Hungarian Championships but has already qualified for the Paris Olympic Games in the 100m (50.80) and 200m fly (1:52.58) events.

Milak will be competing in six events during the competition, including the 50m, 100m, and 200m freestyle events as well as the 50m, 100m, and 200m butterfly. Despite not being in the pool for over a year, Milak resumed training in mid-January and is determined to be in top form for Paris.

Other notable athletes competing at the Hungarian national championships include Zalan Sarkany, who holds PAC-12 conference records in both men’s freestyle events. Sarkany set a conference record with a time of 14:23.01 in the men’s 1650y freestyle at the championships and later won an NCAA title with a time of 14:3
