In an act of heroism, a Dubrava Clinical Hospital employee bravely saved a child from a dog attack in Zagreb’s Trešnjeveca on Saturday around 3 pm. The man sustained severe physical injuries to both hands and is undergoing surgery at the hospital. While the recovery process is uncertain, the hospital confirmed that their employee will follow it, as reported by Danas.hr.
The incident took place on Bernarda Vukas Street when the man saw a child being attacked by a dog. The dog had the child by the hood of his jacket with its teeth, while a woman nearby tried to separate the dog from the child by hitting it with a leash. Without hesitation, the man jumped on the dog and used his bare hands to pull it away from the child. In doing so, he suffered several bites from the dog.
The woman with the dog and the child moved away after attacking, leaving everyone shocked by their actions. The man was then taken to KB Dubrava for treatment. A criminal investigation is currently underway to determine who owns and trained this rabid animal that attacked an innocent child.
The hospital praised their employee’s bravery and heroism in defending a child’s life, hoping for a quick recovery so he can return to work and continue helping others in need.
