A Hercules man accused of fatally shooting a man outdoors of a Pleasant Hill bar is facing two felony counts, spokespersons from the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Workplace stated.

Andre Aaron Barocio, 34, is facing felony charges of murder and possession of a firearm by a felon for an incident that took spot on April three outdoors Farrington’s, a preferred sports bar, the DA’s workplace wrote in a release.

Barocio is accused of shooting a 37-year-old Concord resident in the parking lot of the pub following a fight broke out amongst buddies of the shooter and the victim, according to the District Attorney’s workplace. 

When officers arrived on scene to the 1900 block of Contra Costa Boulevard, they identified the victim — identified as Oscar Arellano Laredo — lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

According to the District Attorney’s Workplace, witnesses reported seeing the suspect fleeing in a vehicle shortly following the shooting, and the identification of the car and its owner matched the suspect’s descriptions. Law enforcement arrested Barocio in Mexico on Sunday.

Barocio was taken back to the Bay Region and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on Thursday. His arraignment was scheduled for Friday in Martinez.

Yet another suspect, Antioch resident Angelo Martinez Delacruz, was also arraigned on the charge of assault with a firearm. His court date is set for subsequent Thursday in Martinez, according to the District Attorney’s Workplace.
