Government Approves Measures to Support Local Self-Defense Unit Commanders Despite Employment Hurdles

The Defense Ministry has approved a series of measures aimed at improving the work conditions of local self-defense unit commanders. These measures include increasing payments to municipalities to raise salaries and creating new positions for deputies, as well as programs for training and retraining commanders and a project for acquiring equipment, ammunition, and weapons.
