Pine unveils new summer sports leagues catering to adults.

Pine Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to announce that summer recreation is no longer just for kids. Starting in June, the department will offer sports leagues for adults, including soccer, softball, flag football, and sand volleyball. This marks the first time the department has provided such programs for grown-ups, providing an exciting opportunity for them to stay active and engaged in the community.

The department has partnered with Sports Monster Pittsburgh, a local branch of a well-established national company that specializes in organizing leagues, tournaments, and events. The co-ed program is open to athletes aged 19 and older who can register either as a team or as individuals to be placed in teams.

Soccer will be played on Sundays from 6 to 9 p.m., from June 9th to August 18th; softball will have Monday nights from 6:30 to 9 p.m. or Sunday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon from June through August; flag football games will take place on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon from June 1st through August 10th; while sand volleyball games will occur on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon from June through August as well.

In addition to adult programs, there are also offerings for youngsters such as the Summer Activity Camp for children entering first through sixth grades starting June 10th and ending on Aug
