In a thrilling round of 16 match at the U-17 World Cup in Indonesia, Germany defeated the United States 3-2. The United States was eliminated from the tournament after a late goal saw them lose to Germany.

The game was played at a fast pace, with Germany taking an early lead with a 14th-minute free kick by Charles Herrmann. However, the United States quickly equalized with a goal by Taha Habroune just 10 minutes later. The score remained tied until halftime when Germany regained the lead with another goal by Max Moerstedt.

Germany threatened to extend their lead in the second half, but the United States managed to level the scores again in the 80th minute with a free kick by David Vazquez. However, substitute Bilal Yalcinkaya scored a late winner for Germany in the 87th minute, securing their victory and taking them to the quarterfinals where they will face Spain on November 24th. It was a disappointing result for the United States who were knocked out of competition.
