Closing its doors after half a century in Worcester, Tatnuck Meat & Seafood bids farewell

In Worcester, Harvey Slarskey’s legacy as a dedicated businessman who put customer satisfaction at the forefront will always be remembered. For 50 years, his family-owned store, Tatnuck Meat and Seafood, was a staple in the community. However, as time passed and the neighborhood changed, business declined.

Harvey started his meat market in his 30s and built it up to include seafood offerings in 2011. Over the years, he established a reputation for providing quality products and building personal relationships with his customers. Michael Slarskey, Harvey’s son who stepped in to help three years ago, shared that closing the shop was a difficult decision.

Despite the challenges of running a small business, Harvey remained committed to maintaining high standards. He emphasized customer satisfaction and quality products throughout the years of operation. With its closure, an era has ended – but Harvey’s legacy will live on through his dedication to serving his community well.
