Versatile athlete Jeremiah Jones chooses Nebraska

The Nebraska football team has recently welcomed a new three-star commit, all-purpose athlete Jeremiah Jones. During his visit to the campus in June, Jones had the opportunity to go fishing with legendary head coach Tom Osborne. The strong connections that Nebraska maintained with Jones throughout the recruiting process were a key factor in his decision to choose the Huskers for his college career and growth as a student-athlete.

Jones is currently a senior at Murray High School in Kentucky, where he showcased his versatility during his junior season. Playing on both offense and defense, he recorded impressive stats including catching passes, completing passes, rushing, and scoring touchdowns. Defensively, he accumulated a significant number of tackles and interceptions over the last two seasons.

Standing at 6 feet 5 inches and weighing 215 pounds, Jones had offers from schools like Kentucky, Louisville, and Florida State before ultimately choosing Nebraska. His commitment marks the 14th for the Huskers’ 2025 recruiting class, which is ranked in the top 40 nationally.

In his announcement, Jones expressed gratitude to God, his family, and coaches for their support during the recruiting process. He is excited to join the University of Nebraska and become a Cornhusker. Follow @CornhuskersWire on Twitter and Facebook for ongoing coverage of Nebraska news, notes, and opinions.
