From Chronic Pain to a Normal Walk: Mr. Dong’s Journey with Artificial Hip Replacement Using the SuperPATH Technique

52-year-old Mr. Dong has been dealing with ankylosing spondylitis of the hip since childhood. His condition gradually worsened over time, causing his legs to be 4 cm apart and him to limp. However, after receiving an artificial hip replacement using the SuperPATH incision technique, he is now able to walk normally. When discharged from the hospital on April 24, Mr. Dong expressed regret that he did not undergo the surgery sooner, as he found the procedure to be simple and the recovery quick.

Suffering from hip ankylosing spondylitis since the age of 9, Mr. Dong experienced pain and stiffness in his joints, limiting his ability to run, jump, or engage in heavy work. This minimally invasive method preserved soft tissues, muscles, and joint capsules, resulting in quicker post-operative recovery.
