France’s Delphine Cascarino will miss the Globe Cup immediately after her club Lyon mentioned on Thursday that she would be sidelined for “numerous months” immediately after rupturing an anterior cruciate ligament.
Cascarino, who has created 56 appearances for France, ruptured her appropriate ACL in a league win more than Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.

“[Cascarino] underwent tests in midweek, which … revealed a partial rupture of the appropriate anterior cruciate ligament,” Lyon mentioned in a statement. The French club added that the winger will want to undergo reconstructive surgery and will be out “for numerous months”.
“Regrettably, I will not be in a position to take element in the Globe Cup this summer season with my group mates, whom I will be supporting from right here,” Cascarino mentioned on Instagram.
France, who are also devoid of Marie-Antoinette Katoto, will be searching to win their maiden Globe Cup at this year’s showpiece occasion, which is becoming co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia from July 20-Aug. 20.
They start their campaign in Group F against Jamaica on July 23 prior to facing Brazil and Panama.
France are not the only group to be hit by key injuries ahead of the Globe Cup.
