Steve McMichael, former Chicago Bears DT and Hall of Famer, undergoing testing following hospital stay

Steve McMichael, a legendary defensive tackle who was recently inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, has been hospitalized again this week. The news was shared by Jarrett Payton, son of McMichael’s former teammate, Walter Payton. According to Payton, McMichael is currently undergoing tests in the hospital. This comes after McMichael spent over a week in the hospital earlier in February due to multiple health issues.

McMichael played for the Chicago Bears for 13 seasons and was a crucial member of their legendary 1985 defense, widely regarded as one of the best in NFL history. After his time with the Bears, he spent his final season with the Green Bay Packers before retiring from football. Despite his health struggles, including being diagnosed with ALS in 2021, McMichael’s induction into the Hall of Fame this year marked a significant milestone in his football legacy. At 66 years old, he remains a beloved figure in the football community and continues to be supported by fans and former teammates during this challenging time.
