Laredo Health Department encourages people to get vaccinated for respiratory illnesses.

With the decrease of respiratory illnesses, health officials are urging people not to let their guard down. The Laredo Health Department recommends individuals continue to practice preventive care by staying updated with vaccines. Currently, the city has reported over 500 flu cases.

Jaime Perez from Laredo Health emphasizes the importance of getting vaccinated to avoid getting sick. The RSV vaccine for children aged 0 to 24 months is available until the end of the month for a $10 administration fee. Additionally, the flu vaccine will be available until June 30 for both adults and children.
