5 students from Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) won awards at the 2023 International Science and Engineering Fair, held lately in Dallas.
Winners of category awards incorporated:
- Elizaveta Plis of Falls Church Higher College, fourth award in Animal Sciences for her project Impact of Larval Crowding of the Zophobas morio Beetle on Consumption of Polystyrene Foam.
- Mihika Dusad and Aryaman Khanna from Thomas Jefferson Higher College for Science and Technologies, third award in Engineering Technologies: Statistics and Dynamics for their project HypeFL: A Novel Blockchain-Primarily based Architecture Making use of Federated Understanding and Cooperative Perception for a Completely Connected Autonomous Automobile Method.
- Rohan Kalahasty from Thomas Jefferson Higher College for Science and Technologies, third award in Robotics and Intelligent Machines for his project Hybrid Plasticity: Adaptive, Brain-Like Artificial Intelligence by means of Prefrontal Cortex Inspired Meta-Understanding.
- Shinyong Jeon from Thomas Jefferson Higher College for Science and Technologies, second award in Systems Application for her project MoodBox: Vocal Screening for Depression and Gamified Relief.
More than 1,600 students from 49 states and 64 nations, regions, and territories participated in the 2023 International Science Fair.
