Hands-on Education: NICCL Exhibition Celebrates the Intersection of Art and Science

Last week, the NCCIL hosted artist Jason Chin, who welcomed children into a world of science and wonder. His exhibit, “The Universe in You”, opened Thursday and features examples from his books that introduce the sciences to young readers.

During a workshop, kids had the opportunity to draw with Chin and also explore science stations set up in the main gallery. These hands-on demonstrations allowed children to learn about geology, astronomy, physics, and other disciplines. The interactive exhibits were a huge hit with the kids, who were able to engage with the material in a fun and meaningful way.

“The Universe in You” will continue to be on exhibit through May 10, providing a playful yet educational experience for young minds. The exhibit is designed to inspire curiosity and inspire young people to pursue careers in science and technology. Whether you’re a budding scientist or just curious about the world around you, “The Universe in You” is definitely worth checking out.
