The Health Benefits of Spending Time in Nature: Highlight of April 17th OneOp Webinar

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and OneOp have teamed up to host a webinar on April 17 focused on improving health and wellness through connecting with nature. The webinar will discuss the benefits of going outdoors and enjoying nature, and it will be held from 10-11 a.m.

OneOp is a virtual professional development platform for providers who serve military families. Participants can register for the free webinar at https://tx.ag/OneOpNature. After registering, participants will receive an email with instructions and a link to attend the webinar. For those unable to access the link, the webinar will also be available on YouTube Live. Technical support is available by contacting OneOp at contact@oneop.org.

The webinar will provide up to one continuing education unit for many professional programs, with more details and a complete list available on the OneOp website. Rachel Brauner, Program Specialist at AgriLife Extension in Bryan-College Station, will cover the latest research on the health benefits of spending time in nature, as well as practical programs and initiatives for participants to consider. Debra Kellstedt, a specialist at AgriLife Extension in Bryan-College Station, will be the featured speaker and will cover topics such as identifying health and wellness benefits of nature, discussing enablers and barriers to connecting with nature regularly, and exploring programs that help individuals, families, and communities get outside more.
