Exploring Conservation and Natural Resources: A Fascinating Evening at the Science Quencher

On April 26, from 5-7 p.m., the Whitefish Lake Institute will be hosting the Science Quencher event at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake. This exciting and informative event features local scientists discussing a range of topics related to natural resources and conservation, including fish, sheep, owls, and rivers.

During the Science Quencher, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with experts in the field of environmental science and learn more about various issues affecting our planet. Speakers include Sam Bourret, a fisheries biologist with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks; Carol Treadwell, finance and grants manager for Whitefish Lake Institute and chief wool handler at Steitzhof Merinos; Denver Holt, founder and president of The Owl Research Institute; and Dakota Whitman, a fluvial geomorphologist with River Design Group. Each presenter is passionate about their work and will share their knowledge with the audience in a “lightning round” format.

According to Durae Belcer, program coordinator at the Whitefish Lake Institute, the Science Quencher is an engaging local gathering where attendees can learn something new from passionate presenters. With its diverse lineup of speakers and interactive format, this event promises to be both educational and entertaining for all who attend.
