Liquid assets in the banking sector reach 786.6 billion dirhams by end of Q1

According to statistics from the Central Bank of the Emirates, the value of liquid assets in the banking sector in the Emirates increased by 28.2% annually to 786.6 billion dirhams at the end of the first quarter of this year. This was a 172.8 billion-dirham increase from about 613.8 billion dirhams at the end of the first quarter of 2023.

The Central Bank’s basic financial safety indicators report for the first quarter of this year revealed that the value of liquid assets in the country’s banking sector increased by 5.7% on a quarterly basis, amounting to 42.7 billion dirhams compared to the end of the fourth quarter of the previous year.
