Etihad Airways and EgyptAir Reach an Agreement

EgyptAir and Etihad Airways have strengthened their partnership by signing a memorandum of understanding aimed at improving commercial and operational relations. The agreement will provide travelers with more options and enhanced services, creating greater value for guests of both airlines.

Yehia Zakaria, Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir, emphasized the importance of this agreement in solidifying their strategic partnership with Etihad Airways and offering customers a smooth and comfortable travel experience with access to more destinations. Antonaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, added that the agreement will improve code sharing services and provide seamless travel opportunities for passengers across both networks.

As part of the agreement, guests of both airlines will have access to a variety of destinations across their networks. This includes travel between Egypt and the UAE, as well as beyond Cairo and Abu Dhabi to locations in Africa and Asia. Passengers will be able to book their entire journey with a single ticket and seamlessly transfer their luggage from the start to their final destination.

The enhanced codeshare agreement will benefit Etihad Airways guests by providing access to new destinations with EgyptAir, in addition to the existing options available. Similarly, passengers flying with EgyptAir will have the opportunity to explore more destinations on the Etihad Airways network, including various locations in Asia and Australia.

Overall, this memorandum of understanding is an important step towards strengthening the cooperation between these two airlines and providing travelers with even more options for exploring new destinations around the world.
