If re-elected, Trump plans to conduct mass deportations

In a rally in South Carolina, former US President Donald Trump has announced plans for massive deportations if he is re-elected. He stated, “From day one I will support the entire open borders policy of the Biden administration and we will begin the largest national deportation operation in the history of the United States.” Trump emphasized that there is no other choice and called the rejection of the legislative package a great victory for conservatives.

The legislative package worth $118 billion failed in the US Senate due to resistance from Republicans. The package included changes to immigration policy and a compromise negotiated between Democrats and Republicans also linked foreign aid to US border security. However, due to Trump’s rejection of the package, it was met with opposition from Republicans who now consider a package that completely decouples foreign aid from border policy.

Trump has openly opposed the reform package and put pressure on his fellow Republicans to let it fail. He believes that border policy should be used as a campaign issue in the upcoming presidential election, stating that there is no other choice but to enforce strict immigration policies and remove undocumented immigrants from the country.
