Disney and other media organizations are increasingly entering the streaming space to reach consumers who are shifting away from cable TV. In addition to Venu Sports, Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery announced plans to launch a new bundle service this summer, combining Disney’s Hulu and Disney+ streaming services with Warner Bros.’ Max app. The sports streaming home Venu Sports will feature live sports content from ESPN, FOX, and Warner Bros. Discovery. The CEO of Venu Sports, Pete Distad, expressed excitement about the platform, stating that it will provide sports fans outside of the traditional pay TV ecosystem with access to a wide range of live sports in one place. The platform is being built using the latest technologies to engage and entertain sports fans seeking one-stop access to live games. Copyright © 2024 KABC Television, LLC. All rights reserved.
