The Indianapolis Colts made significant strides in their roster building efforts on Thursday by signing five of their draftees and seven undrafted free agents. Among those signed were first-round defensive end Laiatu Latu, fifth-round linebacker Jaylon Carlies, fifth-round cornerback Jaylin Simpson, sixth-round cornerback Micah Abraham, and seventh-round defensive tackle Jonah Laulu. With these signings, these players are now officially under contract with the Colts.
Of particular note is Jonah Laulu, who was the 15th overall selection in the draft. Laulu had an impressive collegiate career, appearing in 37 games at UCLA and Washington. During his time in college, he amassed 101 tackles, 35.5 tackles for loss, 24 sacks, five forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, six passes defensed, and two interceptions. His signing adds depth and talent to the Colts’ defensive line.
