Clyde Richards Jr. Promoted to Deputy Chief Information Officer at National Science Foundation

Clyde Richards Jr., with over thirty years of experience in the defense and government sector, has been appointed as the deputy chief information officer at the National Science Foundation (NSF). During his time at Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), Richards played a key role in managing the development and implementation of information technology systems for the Department of Defense to support DCSA’s mission objectives.

Prior to his role at DCSA, Richards was the director of the Army Mission Command portfolio at the Office of the Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army. He also served as the director of the Army and Marine Corps portfolio at the Defense Contract Management Agency and as a senior program manager at the Army Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems.

Richards’ extensive knowledge in program and portfolio management will be valuable in his new role at NSF, where he will work alongside industry leaders and government CIOs to develop modernization strategies.
