Challenging Climate Change Science: Why Ken Ham’s Critique of Biblical Interpretation Matters

Ken Ham is a well-known author, blogger, and speaker who focuses on discussing the reliability and authority of the Bible. In a recent talk, he addressed the topic of climate change science and its history of failed predictions.

Ham pointed out that many of these predictions are based on computer models, which in turn are influenced by the assumptions that researchers feed into them. If these assumptions are incorrect or based on a flawed understanding of Earth’s history, then the resulting models will also be inaccurate.

One key assumption that many climate scientists make is that the Earth has existed for millions of years. However, according to Ham’s interpretation of the Bible, this assumption is misguided. He argues that because of this fundamental discrepancy, it is not surprising that the predictions made by these models would be off the mark.

Additionally, Ham noted that the accuracy of temperature data, which is crucial for climate change predictions, is relatively recent. Only in the last fifty years have we had reliable temperature data to work with, which may not be enough to make precise long-term forecasts.

In conclusion, Ham suggests that the science of climate change is far from settled. By questioning the assumptions and interpretations that underlie much of this research, he challenges the prevailing narrative and encourages a more critical approach to understanding the complexities of climate science.
