Capcom reveals new installment in Resident Evil series in development

Capcom recently announced that they are working on a new installment of the popular video game series Resident Evil. The game will be directed by Koshi Nakanishi, who previously worked on Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. While specific details about the upcoming game are scarce, Nakanishi revealed that developing the follow-up to the previous game was challenging, but they now have something substantial in progress.

In addition to the new Resident Evil game, Capcom also unveiled news about Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess and Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is an action-strategy game centered on Japanese mythology, where players assume the role of the warrior Son, tasked with protecting a priestess named Yoshiro. A demo of the game is available for players to try out on various platforms ahead of its official release on July 19. Platforms where the demo is accessible include PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, and Xbox One.

Capcom also showcased a trailer for Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, which will feature improved graphics and three-dimensional (3D) audio when it launches on September 19. Players will take on the role of photojournalist Frank West in this shopping center battle against zombies. The game will also support multiple languages for text and voice input.
