New African Cultural Business Set to Open in Quincy Square

Bwembya’s Market is set to showcase art created by talented Zambian artists in the Quincy Square. Kena Bwembya and her husband Charles, who are both passionate about art, have always appreciated its beauty and are excited to launch their new business venture. The grand opening of Bwembya’s Market is scheduled for April 11th at 10 a.m., and visitors can watch a sneak peek video of what they have to offer.

From Zambia to the Quincy Square, the community is coming together to celebrate and share their country’s rich culture. Ashley Engle reports from the Quincy neighborhood, highlighting this new black-owned business and their mission to support Zambian artists.

The couple hopes to provide neighbors with a hands-on experience of African culture, allowing them to see and feel the beauty of Zambia right in their own community. By displaying authentic Zambian crafts, they aim to bridge the gap between different cultures and create a sense of connection.

According to a report by Surface, a significant portion of Africa’s cultural heritage is held outside the continent. Bwembya’s Market will serve as a platform for sharing and preserving this rich cultural heritage while also supporting local artists and businesses.

The grand opening of Bwembya’s Market on April 11th promises to be a cultural celebration that brings together the community and highlights the beauty and diversity of Zambia. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to explore and support this exciting business endeavor!
