Bulldogs successfully halt Blue Bolts in 3-set match | News, Sports, Jobs

The Hancock Bulldogs volleyball group bounced back from their very first loss of the season with a 3-set victory more than the Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Blue Bolts. They won the match 25-18, 25-15, and 25-9, enhancing their record to 12-1. Soon after analyzing their loss to Calumet, the Bulldogs focused on enhancing their serving and defense, which paid off in this match.

Starting the match with robust serving, Hancock produced the Blue Bolts perform challenging for their points. The very first set was the closest of the match, but Dollar Bay-Tamarack City nevertheless fell quick. In the second set, the teams remained tied at different points till the Bulldogs took the lead with the serving of senior Lana Aho. They eventually won the set by ten points.

In the third set, senior Ella Storm took manage at the service line, extending her team’s lead from three-two to 12-three. Storm, along with Brooke Koskela, led the group with their performances. Storm had eight aces and showed wonderful agility in retrieving balls, though Koskela recorded an impressive 12 kills. Their coach praised their robust performances.

In spite of a late run of 3 points by Violet Storm of the Blue Bolts, the Bulldogs maintained their dominance, finishing the set with a score of 25-9. Searching ahead, the Bulldogs will face the Wykons in West Iron County on Tuesday and Iron Mountain at dwelling on Thursday. The Blue Bolts will host the Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes on Tuesday and travel to Baraga to play against the Vikings on Friday.
