Community Resource Health Fair Hosted by Teche Action Clinic This Weekend

Teche Action Clinic is hosting a community resource health fair on Saturday to mark National Minority Health Month. The clinic, located in Louisiana, is known as the state’s first community health center and will be holding the event from 9am to 1pm at Franklin Jr High School.

The school holds historical significance as it was once the home of Park Avenue High School, an all-black high school during the period of segregation. Those who attend the health fair can take advantage of various free medical tests and gain valuable health and fitness information. New parents or parents-to-be can also learn about the WIC program available for infants. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive information on their health insurance and how to maximize its benefits.

The event aims to provide the community with resources and access to important healthcare services. Organizers are working hard to ensure that attendees leave the health fair armed with valuable information to lead healthier lives. Everyone is encouraged to participate in this informative and beneficial event.
