Vice President Kamala Harris is facing criticism from former President Donald Trump and some of his supporters, who are seeking to discredit her amid rumors that she may replace him as the Democratic nominee in 2024. A video has surfaced on social media showing Trump calling Harris “pathetic” and criticizing President Joe Biden’s recent debate performance.
In the video, Trump is seen driving a golf cart with a stack of cash while discussing Biden’s poor performance in the debate. He suggests that Biden is withdrawing from the race and that Harris will be his replacement. Trump believes that Harris would make a better candidate than Biden, whom he calls an “old, broken-down pile of crap.”
Trump also questions Biden’s ability to handle foreign adversaries such as Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, calling them “tough leaders.” He insinuates that Biden is not up to the task of dealing with them.
Despite these rumors and speculation, the White House has denied any plans for Biden to withdraw from the race. Spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre stated that Biden is committed to staying in the race and has no intentions of quitting. In response to the rumors, Biden himself addressed campaign staffers and Democratic governors, reaffirming his commitment to staying in the race until the end. He emphasized the importance of Democratic unity and defeating Trump in 2024 as they did in 2020.
