Unlocked Minds: Oklahoma’s Free Mental Health Conference to Strengthen the State’s Mental Health System

Tulsa Tech’s Lemley Memorial Campus will host the first Annual UniteCare Conference on April 4th and 5th, organized by Patriot Family Counseling Services. This Community Collaboration Conference for mental health and caregiving professionals aims to provide workshops and training sessions that teach best practices in mental health care. The conference is open to mental health care professionals, caregivers, and advocates who are passionate about building a stronger mental health system in Oklahoma.

The conference has been held in response to the growing need for mental health services in Oklahoma. According to data from 2021, over 592,000 adults in the state have a mental health condition, with more than half of them not receiving help due to various barriers. The conference seeks to address this issue by providing attendees with the knowledge and tools they need to support individuals in need of mental health care.
