Green Business Workshop in Northwest Colorado happening this week

The Yampa Valley Sustainability Council and Steamboat Springs Chamber have teamed up to host the second installment of their “Business Leadership for Climate” workshop series. This Wednesday, local business owners and organizations are invited to attend the event, which will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Routt County Health and Human Services Community Room in Steamboat Springs.

During the workshop, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of Colorado’s green business program and learn how to navigate the recognition application process. They will also discover strategies for accumulating points towards bronze-level certification within the first year. Lunch will be provided by Hypnotic Chicken with energy bars from Bar-U-Eat.

The goal of this event is to promote the growth of the Yampa Valley green business community and facilitate discussions about green business opportunities and challenges. For those unable to attend, representatives from the Colorado Green Business Network of the Yampa Valley will host office hours at Bud Werner Memorial Library Coffee Bar on the last Wednesday of every month, providing an opportunity for attendees to drop in, enjoy a free coffee and snack, and get more information about green business opportunities in their area.
