Catawba Science Center to Introduce Exciting New Exhibit and Planetarium Show

The Catawba Science Center is excited to announce the launch of its new permanent exhibit, “Expanding Horizons: The Solar System & Beyond,” on July 10th. This exhibit will be located in the Hall of Astronomy, just outside the Millholland Planetarium. Visitors will have the chance to delve into the mysteries of space and learn about interstellar travel.

One of the main attractions of this exhibit is a Mars pod that simulates what it would be like to live on the red planet. Additionally, a new planetarium show titled “Destination Mars” will be narrated by former NASA astronaut Mae Jemison. This show promises to transport visitors on an incredible journey through space and time.
