Diddy’s Lawyer Releases Official Statement After DHS Raid

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attorney, Aaron Dyer, issued a statement in response to the recent Department of Homeland Security raid on Combs’ Los Angeles and Miami homes. In the statement sent to Business Insider, Dyer defended Combs’ innocence and criticized the search as a “gross overuse of military-level force.” He expressed concern over the treatment of Combs’ children and employees during the search, emphasizing that Combs himself was not detained but cooperated with authorities. Additionally, Dyer clarified that neither Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested or had their travel restricted in any way, despite media speculation.

The search occurred following accusations of sexual assault and abuse made against Combs by multiple individuals, including his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura. While Ventura’s suit was settled quickly, four other suits remain unresolved. Dyer’s statement condemned the search as an “unprecedented ambush” and criticized the media presence that surrounded it, calling it a premature rush to judgment. He reiterated Combs’ innocence, stating that there has been no finding of criminal or civil liability in relation to the allegations, and that Combs will continue to fight to clear his name.

Reports have indicated that the search was part of a sex trafficking investigation
