Art for Science’s Sake: Stalking John James Audubon, a documentary created by two professors from the University of Southern Indiana (USI), was not too long ago showcased at the Victory International Film Festival in Evansville, Indiana. The film, which received the “Best Hoosier Produced Film” award, delves into the life and function of renowned 19th-century naturalist John James Audubon. Dr. Leigh Anne Howard, the Chair of the Communication and Media Division and a Professor of Communication Research, along with Dr. David Black, an Associate Professor Emeritus of Radio and Tv, worked collectively on this 1-hour documentary. In a generous gesture, the professors decided to donate their $500 prize to the Dave Black Endowed Scholarship for Radio-Tv at USI.
