During his visit to Brussels, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with the European Commission’s General Director for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Khert Jan Kupman. The two officials discussed a range of issues related to the security situation in the South Caucasus, including the medium and long-term needs of those displaced from Nagorno Karabakh. Additionally, they explored ways to further promote the “Crossroads of Peace” program developed by the Government of Armenia.
As part of his trip, Ararat Mirzoyan also attended a session of the RA-EU Partnership Council in Brussels. The session, which takes place on February 13th, will involve participation from RA Minister of Foreign Affairs and Vice President of European Commission High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borel. The agenda includes discussions on implementing provisions in the RA-EU Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement as well as addressing regional security concerns in the South Caucasus.
