Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anušić (HDZ) has recently made a decision to freeze his student status at the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb. This came after an article was published about his studies, which brought attention and potential pressure to the faculty and professors due to his ministerial position.
Anušić completed a three-year study at the Faculty of Kinesiology and obtained the status of a baccalaureate before enrolling in a postgraduate course. He is currently a senior at the faculty, but after receiving numerous media inquiries about his studies, he decided to freeze his student status.
Interestingly, Anušić chose to stop his high school education and join the volunteers who defended Croatia at the age of 17. He then enrolled in his studies in 1997 and obtained his first degree status as a coach in 2021 before enrolling in the next two years of studies. The Faculty confirmed that he is still currently a senior, but Anušić’s decision to freeze his student status will relieve any pressure or interest that may have been placed on him by media outlets or other parties due to his ministerial position.
